New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said he wants to forgive the youngsters who allegedly used abusive language against him during a recent protest in Delhi, emphasising that anger and insults cannot resolve differences.
Addressing the issue, the Prime Minister said there was no point in harbouring resentment towards the youth and stressed the importance of guiding them in the right direction rather than responding with hostility.
PM calls for understanding and guidance
Modi said abusive language does not solve any problem and appealed to people to adopt a more constructive approach while dealing with differences of opinion. He noted that young people should be encouraged and guided instead of being criticised or condemned.
The Prime Minister said that building a stronger nation requires patience, dialogue and mutual respect among citizens.
Appeal for unity and national progress
Calling for unity, Modi urged people to rise above divisions and work together for the country’s development. He said collective efforts and a shared commitment to progress would help India move forward and achieve its goals.
The remarks come in the wake of a recent protest in Delhi during which some youngsters allegedly directed abusive slogans at the Prime Minister. Instead of reacting with anger, Modi said he preferred forgiveness and constructive engagement.
He reiterated that the nation’s progress depends on unity, understanding and the positive participation of its people, especially the younger generation.
