Quad Leadership Summit in Delaware

The summit aims to advance the Quad’s shared vision of a free and open Indo-Pacific, addressing pressing issues like maritime security, health, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.

This is the first time President Biden will be hosting foreign leaders at his personal residence, highlighting his strong personal connections with the Quad leaders and the strategic importance of the Quad partnership.

Strategic Focus on Indo-Pacific Region

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre highlighted the summit’s goals, which include strengthening strategic alignment between Quad nations and delivering tangible benefits to partners in the Indo-Pacific region. These benefits will cover areas such as:

  • Health security

  •  Maritime security
  •  High-quality infrastructure development
  •  Critical and emerging technology
  • Climate and clean energy

  • Sustainable development
  • Financing for development
  • International peace and security
  • Science, technology, and innovation
  •  Digital cooperation
  •  Youth and future generations
  • Transforming global governance

This event reflects the global push towards building a future based on international cooperation, especially in light of ongoing global challenges like climate change, economic inequality, and digital divides.

Strengthening Global Governance and Regional Security

The Quad summit will serve as a platform to discuss **high-level strategic priorities** for the Indo-Pacific region, reinforcing the participating countries’ commitment to global governance and regional security. As the geopolitical landscape in the Indo-Pacific continues to evolve, this gathering of leaders aims to shape the future trajectory of security, infrastructure, and technological growth in the region.

PM Modi’s engagement with global leaders and his participation in the Summit of the Future underscore India’s growing influence on the global stage, particularly in shaping governance structures and addressing future challenges.
