In a disturbing incident in Maharashtra’s Beed district, police have filed a case against five individuals after a video surfaced on social media showing a man being brutally assaulted with a cricket bat. The video, which has caused outrage, was reportedly filmed in Bawi village and shows one Sachin Bhosale, a resident of Zapewadi, along with four unidentified individuals, attacking the victim.
Speaking about the incident, Maharashtra’s Minister of State for Home, Yogesh Kadam, assured that strict action would be taken against the perpetrators, emphasizing that the state would not tolerate such violence. “Maharashtra is a progressive state with no place for goons like these. They will be punished accordingly,” Kadam said, vowing swift justice.
Although the victim has not yet been located, police have initiated an FIR (First Information Report) on their own, and efforts are underway to identify the victim and determine the motive behind the attack. Authorities have charged the five suspects with causing harm using dangerous weapons, under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The shocking incident has sparked widespread outrage, with many calling for swift justice and better protection for citizens from such violent acts. Police remain committed to solving the case and bringing the attackers to justice.
