Odisha: The police have cracked a major case of drug trafficking, here on Sunday, June 9, in which 34 accused were arrested along with 3,305 kg of ganja.
Malkangiri district Superintendent of Police Jagmohan Meena has said that the ganja seized is worth more than Rs 2 crore.
According to the police, among the nabbed, 17 are from Malkangiri, 11 from Nabarangpur, five from Koraput and one from Chhattisgarh.
A police official has said that the ganja peddlers had attacked the police personnel during the raid. In this attack, a police officer was reportedly injured. To ensure that the ganja peddlers do not escape, a 75-officials team was formed to nab all the 34.
