In a major breakthrough, Punjab Police have apprehended four operatives connected to the Canada-based terrorist Arsh Dalla. The arrested individuals, identified as Gagandeep Singh, Navjot Singh alias Nishu, Lakhwinder Singh, and Vipanpreet Singh, were involved in a firing incident at a car accessories showroom in Mohali on December 1-2, 2024. The motive behind the attack was extortion, as directed by their foreign handler, Daljit Singh alias Ninda.
The police recovered three pistols and 16 cartridges from the suspects, who confessed to carrying out the crime under Ninda’s instructions. Ninda, a known history-sheeter who fled to the US using fake documents, has connections with radicalized international gangs. The arrested individuals have criminal records, and investigations are ongoing to identify others involved in this criminal network.
Following the shooting incident, the Anti-Gangster Task Force formed special teams to investigate the case. Utilizing CCTV footage, technical evidence, and intelligence, the police traced the suspects to their vehicle near the Focal Point in Mohali and arrested them. Gagandeep Singh and Navjot Singh were the shooters, while Lakhwinder assisted with logistics and Vipanpreet provided the weapons.
Authorities have emphasized that these criminals are part of a larger criminal module linked to Arsh Dalla, and further investigations are underway to uncover more connections. Gagandeep Singh is also wanted in a dacoity case, and Vipanpreet has a history of involvement in shootings across Jalandhar and Faridkot. The Punjab Police are committed to bringing those responsible for these heinous acts to justice and dismantling this international criminal network.
