Bhopal: During his trip to the poll-bound Madhya Pradesh, Congress president Rahul Gandhi visited a lot of places to try and sway people towards his side. In an effort to gather support from the masses, he spoke on various topics and asked the crowd if they wanted their clothes, shoes and mobiles to be made by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). Unfortunately for the Congress supremo, this comment of his came out sounding quite hilarious.
Rahul Gandhi began his party’s ‘Sankalp Yatra’ at Chitrakoot near the Satna district. He was also seen praying at the Shri Kamadgiri Temple after which he attended a meeting at Rajola.
During the meeting at Rajola, Gandhi attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for always shouting out the slogan ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ while the BJP failed to punish the MLA who raped a girl. Mocking the PM, he said that the slogan should be changed to ‘Beti Padhao, Beti ko BJP ke Vishayak se Bachao’.
Previously on September 17, Rahul Gandhi was in Madhya Pradesh to hold a roadshow after taking blessings from the priests. During his visit, he was welcomed by Madhya Pradesh Congress president Kamal Nath and senior party leader and Guna MP Jyotiraditya Scindia among others
