New Delhi: Congress MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has found himself at the center of an online uproar following an unintentional verbal slip in the Lok Sabha during a serious discussion on Operation Sindoor and the Pahalgam terror attack. While addressing the Parliament, Rahul mistakenly uttered an expletive — quickly correcting himself — as he spoke about strategic coordination between Pakistan and China.
The moment came when Rahul said, “And when they arrived, they suddenly realised they were not ‘f***ing’… aah fighting Pakistan but they were fighting Pakistan and China.” The slip, though immediately corrected, was caught on camera and widely circulated on social media platforms, drawing criticism for what many called an “unparliamentary” usage during a national debate.
Gandhi was elaborating on the alleged sharing of sensitive satellite and targeting data by China with the Pakistani Air Force. His comments were aimed at highlighting the evolving military doctrines and collaboration between the two neighbouring nations.
Social media users were quick to react, with many mocking the opposition leader for the gaffe. One post read, “Words of wisdom from the Leader of Opposition,” while another taunted, “Pappu says anything when nervous.”
This isn’t Rahul’s first linguistic misstep. In previous speeches, he has mistakenly referred to “Satyagraha” as a path to “Satta” and confused Kashmiri Pandits with PoK refugees.
While his intent was serious, the moment has once again turned into viral fodder for critics.
