Dinesh Miraniya, a 45-year-old businessman from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, was tragically killed in a terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, on the very day he was celebrating his wedding anniversary with his family.

Miraniya had traveled to Kashmir with his wife, daughter, and son to mark the occasion. The family had reached Baisaran Valley on Tuesday morning and was capturing memories at a scenic viewpoint when gunmen emerged from the surrounding forest.

According to eyewitnesses, the attackers asked for names before opening fire—targeting male tourists. Dinesh was shot dead in front of his wife and children in a scene of unimaginable horror. His wife, Neha Miraniya, who sustained minor facial injuries from gunpowder, was the first to alert family members in Raipur.

Speaking to the press, Manish Singhania, a relative, said the family had initially traveled to Jammu for a religious function and then proceeded to Pahalgam for the anniversary celebration.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai condemned the killing, stating, “Terrorism is the biggest threat to humanity and cannot be tolerated in any form,” while expressing his condolences to the bereaved family.
