Mumbai: Worried about the hiked fuel prices? Well, forget your worries for today and get your two-wheelers rolling to the nearest pump to avail a discounted price, thanks to birthday boy Raj Thackeray, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena President.

Thackeray turns 50 today and on this occasion, the party has come forward to bear a bit of the price burden by offering a discount of Rs. 4-9 per litre on petrol at selected fuel pumps for two-wheeler owners in Maharashtra. Today’s rate for petrol in the state is Rs. 84.26 and the offer was open to the public from 8 am in the morning till afternoon.

Ecstatic by this offer, several people have lined up at the pumps to fill their petrol tanks while extending their wishes to Thackeray.

A bike-owner who was happy to avail the discount hoped PM Modi too took a cue from the MNS President and lower fuel prices.

Meanwhile, party workers present at the pumps are keeping a record of the sales so that the difference amount could be paid to the petrol pumps at the end of the day.
