The ‘Surya Tilak’ ceremony, held at noon at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, involved the strategic placement of lenses and mirrors to illuminate the idol’s forehead precisely at noon. Lasting around 2.5 to 3 minutes, temple priests conducted prayers and performed Lord Ram’s aarti during the ceremony, which featured a ‘Surya Tilak’ approximately 58 mm in diameter.
