Ranveer Allahbadia has come under fire for his controversial remark on comedian Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent. The comment, which has since been removed from YouTube, sparked widespread outrage online, with viewers expressing their disapproval. In the viral clip, Ranveer had asked a contestant an inappropriate question about a highly sensitive topic, which led to several police complaints being filed against him. He later issued a public apology, admitting that his comment was not only inappropriate but also unfunny.

In the midst of the controversy, an old video featuring comedian Tanmay Bhat resurfaced. Tanmay had previously called out Ranveer for his capitalistic mindset, jokingly referring to him as a “views-obsessed capitalist.” Tanmay also mocked Ranveer’s claims of spiritual detachment, pointing out the contradiction between his business ventures and his supposed spiritual focus. “You launch a new business every week and then talk about spirituality on Instagram. Why are you lying?” Tanmay quipped.

Singer B Praak also criticized Ranveer, calling out his “dual standards” and accusing him of promoting Sanatan Dharma while simultaneously engaging in questionable behavior. B Praak even canceled his appearance on Ranveer’s podcast in light of the controversy.

Amid the mounting criticism, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also condemned Ranveer’s remarks.
