RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai earlier today after experiencing acidity. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) confirmed his condition is stable and assured there is no cause for concern.
In a statement, an RBI spokesperson said, “Reserve Bank of India Governor Shri Shaktikanta Das experienced acidity and was admitted to Apollo Hospital, Chennai, for observation. He is now doing fine and will be discharged in the next 2-3 hours.”
The central bank emphasized that the hospitalization was a precautionary measure and that Das is recovering well.
