A shocking video of dangerous bike stunts on a busy highway in Bihar has gone viral, forcing the Traffic Police to register a case against the riders for life-threatening driving and blatant violation of traffic norms.

Stunt performed in full public view

The video, widely shared on social media, shows two youths riding a speeding motorcycle while standing upright, hands clasped, as they weave dangerously close to heavy vehicles, including a truck. The situation escalates further when the bikers are seen overtaking a Bihar Police jeep mid-stunt, triggering public outrage.

Social media users criticised the apparent lack of fear among the riders. “Fear of the police is dead in Bihar,” one user commented, as the clip attracted thousands of views and reactions.

Netizens demand strict punishment

Following the viral spread, netizens demanded harsh action, including identification through the number plate, seizure of the motorcycle, heavy fines and disqualification of the riders. Many expressed concern that such reckless behaviour could easily lead to the loss of innocent lives.

Police action initiated

Responding to the backlash, the Bihar Traffic Police confirmed that a case has been registered under relevant sections related to dangerous driving. Officials said efforts are underway to identify the riders and the vehicle involved.

“Road safety is our priority. Strict action, including impoundment and penalties, will be taken to deter such acts,” a police spokesperson said.

Road safety concerns resurface

The incident has once again highlighted Bihar’s ongoing road safety challenges, where risky stunts and overspeeding continue to pose serious threats. Citizens have urged authorities to step up highway patrols, enforce helmet and safety laws more strictly, and launch stronger awareness campaigns to prevent roads from turning into arenas for dangerous dares.
