For the first time, the Rajasthan Eligibility Exam for Teachers (REET) is being conducted under heightened security. Advanced measures like facial recognition, biometric authentication, and strict dress code enforcement were introduced. Many examinees had their clothing altered, jewellery removed, and underwent detailed scrutiny before entering test centres.
As Rajasthanโs largest recruitment exam, REET 2025 has drawn an overwhelming 14.29 lakh registrations. The applicant count is:
๐น Level 1 โ 3,04,625 candidates
๐น Level 2 โ 9,68,501 candidates
๐น Both levels โ 1,14,696 candidates
The exam is scheduled across February 27 and 28, conducted in three shifts at 1,731 venues spanning 41 districts.
Unmatched security protocols
For the first time, facial scans and biometric checks were mandatory. Exam gates shut one hour early, causing last-minute rushes. Male examinees had their collars and sleeves cut, while female aspirants had to remove all jewellery. Despite prior warnings, some still arrived wearing restricted accessories.
A dress code was enforced:
๐จโ๐ผ Men: Full-sleeved shirts, trousers (no belts, caps, watches, or shoes).
๐ฉโ๐ Women: Kurti, salwar, saree, or full-sleeve blouse (no handbags, heavy buttons, or shawls).
Strict prohibitions & free travel
๐ซ Banned: Mobile phones, smartwatches, wallets, calculators, and question paper removal.
๐ Special trains & free bus rides helped candidates commute effortlessly.
With these rigorous anti-cheating measures, REET 2025 sets a new benchmark in exam security.
