Mumbai: Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh, who is the son of the late former Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh congratulated his brothers-Amit Deshmukh and Dhiraj Deshmukh for their resounding victory in the crucial Maharashtra elections. While Amit, now a three-time MLA contested and won from Latur (City), Dhiraj contested and won from Latur (rural). Both had contested on Congress ticket and registered victory with huge margins.
With this victory, Riteish took to Twitter to thank the people of Latur for reaffirming their faith in the Deshmukh family. It may be recalled that Latur became a Congress stronghold during Riteish’s father Vilasrao Deshmukh’s tenure as CM. Vilasrao Deshmukh was considered as a popular mass leader, who went on to become the CM for two terms between 1999 and 2008.
”Thank you, people of Latur, for this faith & trust,” the actor tweeted, with his photo from poll campaign.
It was seen that Riteish and his actor wife Genelia plunged into campaign mode for both and Amit and Dhiraj.
