Indian cricketer Riyan Parag recently spoke out about the viral controversy surrounding his YouTube search history, which was accidentally exposed during a live stream after IPL 2024. In an interview with City1016 Radio, Parag recalled the moment when he realized his private searches had gone public. “After finishing the IPL in Chennai, I joined a Discord call with my streaming team. One of them tried to set me up before the IPL, but that was taken down quickly. Later, after the season, the hype was still there, and I didn’t have my usual music apps. So, I searched for music on YouTube, but I didn’t realize what was happening until my stream ended. That’s when I knew it blew out of proportion,” he explained.

Parag faced significant backlash after fans discovered explicit searches related to Bollywood actresses Ananya Panday and Sara Ali Khan. Despite the mockery, he shrugged it off and remained focused on his cricket career.

Riyan Parag, the first cricketer from Assam and the Northeast to earn an India cap, made history in July 2024. His emotional debut against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club saw his father presenting him with the prestigious cap. Though his debut match didn’t go as planned, Parag continues to push forward, having since played multiple T20I and ODI matches for India. Reflecting on his journey, he said, “Coming from Assam, I had this dream of playing for India. It’s truly special.”
