Mumbai: One of world cricket’s top performing mid-order batsman Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh have been blessed with a baby girl at a hospital in the city, here on Monday, December 31.
The speciality is that Ritika gave birth soon after India won over Australia in the third test match played at Melbourne, Australia.
According to the sources from Indian cricket team, Rohit has already left to Mumbai, as he got the news of new addition in his family.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India, in its statement, has said that there will be no replacement player for the final test match. However, Rohit will be directly playing for the ODI series, which will begin from January 8, 2019, onwards.
Rohit was updated by his family members during the match.
