New Delhi: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh had recently shocked the country by inviting the former president and veteran Congress leader, Pranab Mukherjee, for the valediction of its three –year training camp for their cadets. However, the organisation now seems to have turned its eyes on the Congress Scion and AICC Chief, Rahul Gandhi.
If sources are to be believed, then the RSS is now planning to invite RaGa for an event in Delhi and the decision in this direction, came close on the heels of the Gandhi Scion, comparing the RSS to the Muslim Brotherhood- Sunni Islamist Organisation in the Arab World, while addressing a programme in London.
Sources say that the RSS may invite Gandhi for an event titled ‘Future of India’, a conclave to be held between September 17-19, where leaders from all the political parties are expected to participate.
It was only recently that Rahul Gandhi said that both-the RSS and the Muslim Brotherhood were founded in 1920 and both the organizations believe in institutional capture.
The BJP had reacted to the statement and had alleged that Rahul was acting like a ‘contract killer’ of the idea called India and also sought an apology.
However, coming to his rescue, the Congress said that Rahul’s statements were distorted and that the same should not be viewed in isolation.
