A video featuring Manjinder Singh, the Sarpanch of Narangwal, and an alleged female drug peddler has gone viral, leading to swift action by the Ludhiana rural police. In the clip, the Sarpanch, who also chairs the Nasha Virodhi Committee, is seen confronting the woman and urging her to stop selling drugs. Despite his appeal, she challenges him, declaring her intention to continue the illegal activity.

Following the video’s viral spread, the police took decisive action, demolishing the drug peddler’s property in a late-night operation. Singh, the Sarpanch, reported receiving threats from individuals involved in the drug trade after the confrontation.

In an interview, Manjinder Singh mentioned that after seeing the viral video, the Punjab Chief Minister personally called him to inquire about the situation, expressing support for the committee’s efforts. Singh expressed gratitude to the CM and the state government for their prompt response.

Sources within the police revealed that the woman and her husband already have three active drug-related cases against them. SSP Ludhiana Rural, Dr. Ankur Gupta, confirmed this, stating that the police are intensifying their efforts to combat drug trafficking in the village.
