Grammys 2024: Indian music maestro Shankar Mahadevan, along with his fellow Shakti members, achieved a remarkable feat at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards. Shakti, a collaborative venture featuring John McLaughlin, Zakir Hussain, V.Selvaganesh, Ganesh Rajagopalan, and Shankar Mahadevan, clinched the Grammy Award for their outstanding work, The Moment, in the category of Best Global Music Album.
Shankar Mahadevan, along with his team, was present at the Grammys to receive the prestigious award. In a viral video, he expressed gratitude to India and dedicated the award to his wife. Despite John McLaughlin’s absence, Shankar conveyed a heartfelt message, “Thank you, boys, and thank you, God, family, friends, and India. We are proud of you, India.”
