Mumbai: The Shiv Sena, on Monday, took a dig at Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and mocked his efforts to form a non-BJP government at the Centre.
“Why is Chandrababu Naidu exhausting himself without any reason? Hope his current excitement lasts till May 23. We wish him luck for the same,” the Shiv Sena said in an editorial in its mouthpiece Saamana.
The TDP chief met with Congress president Rahul Gandhi twice and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi on Sunday evening, after meeting with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati.
He also had a sit-down with NCP chief Sharad Pawar, Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, CPI leader Sudhakar Reddy and Loktantrik Janata Dal leader Sharad Yadav.
Despite the exit polls predictions, Naidu doesn’t seem to have given up his efforts as he is scheduled to meet West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today, according to a report by PTI.
Voting in the last of the seven-phase national election ended on Sunday, May 19 and the results will be out on May 23.
