In a tragic incident from Telangana, a 25-year-old woman doctor working as an intern at Government Medical College, Siddipet died by suicide after injecting a weedicide into her body. The incident has sent shockwaves through the medical community in Siddipet.
The deceased has been identified as Dr Lavanya, who attempted suicide on Saturday. She was initially admitted to a hospital in Siddipet and later shifted to Hyderabad for advanced treatment. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed on Sunday night.

According to police, Dr Lavanya injected the weedicide while she was at Siddipet. As her condition deteriorated, she was rushed to a hospital in Hyderabad, where she remained under treatment before passing away.
Doctors said her condition was critical from the time she was admitted, owing to the toxic nature of the substance.
Police register case, probe underway
The Siddipet police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. Officials said the exact reasons behind her decision are not yet known.
“There is no suicide note so far. We are enquiring into all possible angles, including personal and professional factors,” a police official said.
