In a powerful public address in Bikaner, Rajasthan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi underscored India’s unwavering approach to national defense, counterterrorism, and relations with Pakistan. Referring to Operation Sindoor, a swift retaliatory strike after a terror attack in Pahalgam, Modi emphasized that the Indian armed forces had been granted full operational freedom. This enabled them to launch a prompt and effective offensive in the early hours of May 7.
“In just 22 minutes after the assaults on the 22nd, our troops obliterated nine major terror hubs,” he said. He invoked a symbolic warning: “When sindoor transforms into explosive force, the consequences are visible to the world.” His statement resonated as both emotional and combative.
Taking a hardline view, PM Modi dismissed any possibility of diplomatic engagement or trade with Pakistan. “No dialogue, no business — if talks ever occur, they’ll center on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir,” he asserted. He also cautioned Pakistan against its continued support of terrorism, promising to restrict the flow of river water that rightfully belongs to India, if provocations persist.
Switching to English mid-speech, the Prime Minister brushed aside nuclear threats from across the border, stating confidently, “India will not cower before nuclear blackmail.” Evoking emotion, he added, “Sindoor flows in my veins, not blood,” declaring that those who tried to erase it have faced annihilation.
This fiery speech signals a no-nonsense posture from India on issues of sovereignty and national security.
