Bengaluru: The(CCB), in coordination with the South and North East Division police, arrested six individuals, including two foreign nationals, and seized narcotics worth ₹23.84 crore in four separate cases, officials said on Wednesday.
Foreign nationals held with MDMA worth ₹12 crore
Acting on a tip-off, police raided an apartment in Gollahalli village, Kothanur, and arrested Marwa Essem Ossam (31) and Zargoun Salaheldin (32) — both foreign nationals who had entered India on medical visas.
During the raid, officers recovered 4.815 kg of MDMA valued at ₹12.03 crore. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act and the Foreigners Act.
Driver from Rajasthan caught peddling drugs
In another operation, the Anti-Narcotics Wing (ANW) of the CCB arrested Ladu Ram (40), a driver from Rajasthan residing near Kudlu Gate in Singasandra, for alleged drug peddling in the Parappana Agrahara police station limits.
Investigations revealed that he took to drug peddling with the help of his brother-in-law after his driving income proved insufficient. Police seized 1.399 kg of MDMA crystals and 2.030 kg of opium, valued at ₹4 crore, from his possession.
Drug parcels intercepted at foreign post office
In a third operation, ANW officers raided the foreign post office in KG Nagar and intercepted parcels containing 3 kg of hydro ganja worth around ₹3.81 crore.
According to police, the accused had been purchasing hydro ganja from Thailand and Germany using cryptocurrency, operating under fake identities — Khachibbi Jeezs and Khidoinoise Jeez — to supply drugs across Bengaluru.
Two Kerala natives — Nizar Mohammed (37) and Rasheed (46) — were arrested in connection with the case. Efforts are underway to trace the buyers and other associates involved in the network.
