Rajapuram: In a rare and heartwarming wildlife intervention, snake catcher and Sarpa Volunteer P C Rejimon has successfully hatched python eggs he recovered during a recent rescue operation near Kodoth.

Rejimon, a resident of Panathoor, discovered the clutch of eggs two weeks ago at a private residence during a routine snake rescue. Concerned that the eggs would not survive in their original location, he sought guidance from Panathady Section Forest Officer B Sesappa, who instructed him to safely incubate the eggs at home.

Out of the 11 eggs, an impressive 10 pythons hatched successfully under Rejimon’s careful watch. The hatchlings have now been handed over to the Forest Department for safe release into their natural habitat.

A licensed snake rescuer with four years of experience, Rejimon is well-known in the region for his commitment to wildlife, often caring for injured birds and animals before releasing them back into the forest.

His efforts not only helped preserve the python population but also highlight the importance of trained volunteers in local conservation efforts.
