New Delhi:  A photograph of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav flying together in a flight’s business class to Delhi on Wednesday has stirred speculation among political pundits, causing ripples in the political pond.

Speculations were rife that Nitish Kumar, who joined the NDA just before the Lok Sabha election, leaving the INDIA Bloc, could consider rejoining the INDIA Bloc. In the national capital, both the INDIA Bloc and NDA will be holding meetings today evening to explore options for forming the next government.

While the NDA has secured 293 seats, enough to form the government without any hassle if all NDA leaders stay in the alliance, the Congress-led INDIA Bloc may also attempt to form the government if any NDA partners part ways and join them. The INDIA bloc secured 234 seats.

The JD(U) has become a crucial party after securing 12 seats in this Lok Sabha election, as both alliances need the support of JD(U) and Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP to form the government. Both JD(U) and RJD have called the meeting of the two leaders on the same flight a “coincidence” and nothing more.

Both parties claim that the leaders share a good relationship despite being in different parties.
