A tragic accident in Mumbai‘s Dahisar has left one man dead and another critically injured after a speeding car collided with a motorcycle. The incident occurred on September 13 around 4 pm, as reported by Dahisar Police. The victims, identified as 18-year-old Karan Rajput and his friend Aditya, were riding a motorcycle from Dahisar to Kandivali. They were accompanied by another friend, Piyush Shukla, who was on a separate bike. As they approached the Shailendra High School bridge, a speeding car struck Karan’s motorcycle from behind. The collision caused both Karan and Aditya to suffer severe injuries.

Aditya, who was critically injured, lost consciousness at the scene, while Karan also sustained significant injuries. The driver of the car fled the scene immediately after the accident, leaving the victims in a dire condition. Following the accident, Karan and Piyush managed to transport Aditya and themselves to Seven Star Hospital in Kandivali by auto-rickshaw. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, Aditya succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Dahisar Police have registered a case against the unidentified car driver under multiple sections of the Motor Vehicle Act and the Indian Penal Code. The authorities are actively searching for the driver responsible for the hit-and-run incident. The investigation is ongoing as the police work to locate the individual who fled the scene.

This accident occurred just two weeks after another tragic incident in Mumbai’s Goregaon, where a speeding SUV driven by a 17-year-old boy resulted in the death of a 24-year-old man. The increasing number of such incidents has raised concerns about road safety and the need for stricter enforcement of traffic regulations.
