A bizarre and now-viral incident at OP Jindal University in Sonipat, Haryana, has grabbed national attention after a student was caught attempting to sneak a girl into the boys’ hostel—inside a suitcase.

The incident, captured on video, shows hostel security personnel unfastening a large suitcase while a group of students watches. To everyone’s surprise, a girl emerges from inside the bag, leaving guards visibly stunned. The footage was shared widely on social media, drawing both amusement and criticism.

When contacted, the university’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) described the event as “a harmless prank”, stating,

“Our students were just being playful. Due to our vigilant security, the act was noticed quickly. It’s not a major concern, and no official complaint has been filed.”

Despite the light-hearted reaction, many online users have questioned the security breach and the lack of disciplinary action. As of now, the university has not disclosed whether any formal inquiry or punishment is being considered.

The motive behind the unusual act remains unclear, and how the guards became aware of the smuggling attempt is also not confirmed.

While some netizens viewed it as a juvenile stunt, others have raised concerns about campus security policies and student accountability.
