In a heartbreaking incident, a Plus Two student from Vattiyoorkavu, R Darshan, was discovered lifeless at his residence on Monday—the very day his board examinations were set to commence.
Authorities recovered a note near him, where he mentioned overwhelming exam tension and the fear of forgetting everything he had studied. The message urged his parents not to grieve.
Darshan was a gifted tabla player, having earned an A grade at the Kerala State School Arts Festival. Academically, he had consistently excelled, securing top marks (A+) in all subjects during both Class 10 and Plus One.
Despite engaging in a conversation with his parents late into the previous night without displaying any distress, his farewell message suggested an internal struggle. “I was never forced by anyone. Let my friends continue their studies. I am leaving because I lack the strength in my heart,” he wrote.
His sudden passing has left family, friends, and teachers in deep sorrow, once again shedding light on the immense psychological pressure students endure during exam seasons.
