New Delhi: Emphasizing that a nation’s culture and heritage find expression through music and melodies, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday acknowledged the profound impact of the Sufi tradition in India.

While addressing the Jahan-e-Khusrau event, he extended warm greetings to the people ahead of Ramzan. Reflecting on the event’s journey, he remarked, “Over the past 25 years, Jahan-e-Khusrau has secured a special place in people’s hearts, marking its greatest achievement.”

He highlighted the presentation of Nazr-e-Krishna, which showcased India’s rich and intertwined cultural heritage. Modi expressed that the festival carries a unique essence—one infused with the fragrance of Hindustan’s soil.

During the event, the Prime Minister also visited the TEH Bazaar, appreciating the artistic and cultural displays. He reiterated that the Sufi tradition has sculpted a distinct and cherished identity within Indian culture, serving as a bridge between spiritual devotion and artistic expression.

“A nation’s traditions, values, and soul resonate through its music and poetry,” Modi stated, underscoring the role of music in shaping civilization.

The Jahan-e-Khusrau festival continues to be a testament to India’s diverse heritage, celebrating the deep-rooted influence of Sufi music on the nation’s artistic landscape.
