Over 50 individuals, including women and children, from the Jahangirabad region in Bulandshahr district were admitted to the hospital on Tuesday, suffering from suspected food poisoning after attending a wedding feast. Authorities reported that four individuals are in critical condition and were transferred to the district hospital in Bulandshahr for further treatment.
On Monday evening, the group from Ramgarhi village in Jahangirabad participated in a wedding celebration in the Siyana area. “After consuming the meal, they began experiencing nausea and vomiting the following morning,” stated Manju Agarwal, Acting Chief Medical Officer of Bulandshahr. Local health officials quickly responded, setting up a camp in the village to begin treatment. The affected individuals were first taken to a nearby Community Health Centre (CHC), where 21 were admitted, and four were sent to a higher medical facility for specialized care.
Anil Kumar, a local resident, mentioned that he had noticed the paneer dish and gajar halwa appeared to be spoiled, advising others not to eat them. “The majority of the ill people had consumed the paneer and gajar halwa,” said Kumar.
