Uttar Pradesh Police acted quickly after a viral video surfaced, showing a woman confronting a man and accusing him of harassment in a public place. The video, which gained widespread attention, depicted the woman repeatedly slapping the man on Tuesday, February 25. Following the incident, the police arrested the accused, identified as Adnan, a resident of Ghaziabad.
Assistant Police Commissioner Anwarganj confirmed that the arrest was made, and an investigation is ongoing to verify the facts and pursue further legal action. The man’s family members mentioned that Adnan has a history of mental health issues and is receiving treatment.
The footage, which quickly spread across social media, shows the woman publicly slapping Adnan and accusing him of harassment, with several bystanders observing the confrontation.
This incident follows another alarming case in Ghaziabad, where a woman driver was caught on camera running over a child before fleeing the scene. The incident took place on February 24 in the SG Grand Society of Raj Nagar Extension. The child, a five-and-a-half-year-old boy, suffered serious injuries after being struck by a car driven by Sandhya, who was behind the wheel of her husband’s vehicle.
The CCTV footage showed the child being hit by the car, and despite stopping briefly, the driver fled the scene. Thankfully, the child survived the accident, though he sustained a fractured thigh bone and multiple injuries.
