A 17-year-old girl allegedly died by suicide in Pune’s Baner area after being threatened by a युवक who reportedly warned her of circulating her private photos, police said.
According to initial reports, the minor had been under severe emotional distress after the accused allegedly used the threat of sharing her personal images to intimidate her.
Allegations of blackmail and harassment
Police sources indicated that the accused had been in contact with the girl and allegedly attempted to blackmail her by threatening to make private photos public. The situation is believed to have escalated in the days leading up to the incident.
The girl was found at her residence, and the incident came to light after family members discovered her.

Authorities have registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter. Police are examining digital evidence, including mobile phone records and communication history, to establish the sequence of events.
