A 14-year-old student from a municipal school in Navi Mumbai lost his life after suffering a cardiac arrest while on an educational excursion to Imagicaa Theme Park in Raigad district.

The tragic event took place on Tuesday when students from the Ghansoli-based school, run by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, visited the amusement park.

Ayush Dharmendra Singh, a Class 8 student, suddenly felt discomfort and sat down on a bench. Moments later, he collapsed onto the ground, unresponsive.

Teachers and park staff immediately escorted him to the theme park’s medical center. He was later shifted to a private hospital, but doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.

A post-mortem examination, conducted under the supervision of a government medical officer, confirmed that the teenager succumbed to a heart attack.

Following the incident, Khalapur police registered an accidental death case and have initiated further inquiries into the matter.

The sudden loss of a young life has left the school and community in deep sorrow. Authorities are now reviewing safety and health protocols for students during school outings.
