Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a two-year-old girl was crushed to death by a school bus in Hyderabad on Thursday.
The toddler, named Jewalanna, was there to see her older brother off to school along with her grandmother and father, Midhun.
The incident happened in the Habsiguda neighborhood of Ravindra Nagar, inside the boundaries of the Osmania University police station.
The police claim that Jewalanna, who was with her grandmother, abruptly started running towards her father while Midhun was speaking with the bus driver. The bus’s driver had started it in the interim. She tragically died instantly after falling and getting crushed under its wheel.
The girl’s family members have accused the bus driver of being negligent, resulting in the baby’s death.
The police have registered a case in the matter.
