Chennai: ‘Thalaiva’ Rajinikanth has announced that he is making his debut in politics.
Reports suggest that the actor will likely turn politician in April by launching his own political party.
As a confirmation of information, former deputy mayor of Chennai, Karate Thiagarajan, speaking to ANI, said, “Superstar Rajinikanth may announce that he is launching his party between May and June. Supporters of the DMK and AIADMK will support Rajinikanth when he launches his party.”

Sources say that the actor has been inspired by the Chennai-based Rashtriya Swyamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader S Gurumurthy and is likely to support the BJP.
According to The Indian Express, Rajini’s inner circle has asserted that the BJP may or may not ally with his party, but would definitely lend their support and aim to defeat the DMK.
