Tirumala shrine witnesses massive crowd of devotees, changes in darshan timings

Tirumala: The temple known to be one of the richest, having the highest number of devotees coming over, Lord Venkataramana Temple at the Tirumala hills has now decided to put a brake on VIP Darshan facility, here on Monday, December 31.

The VIP Darshan will be closed on January 1, 2019, as the temple is witnessing a humungous crowd of devotees.

Addressing the press, in-charge Joint Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Pola Bhaskar has said that the VIP and VVIP darshan will only be allowed between 2 to 4.30 AM.

The TTD has cancelled all special darshans, entry of specially abled and aged people during the peak hours and will be allowing regular darshan devotees only after the said VIP and VVIP timing.

Pola Bhaskar also mentioned that their first preference would be commoners and in order to facilitate the entry of these devotees from Tuesday i.e., from January 1, 2019, 4.30 AM onwards the darshan for common devotees will once again be opened.
