Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have once again adjusted the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders. As of September 1, the cost of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has risen by Rs 39, bringing the new retail price to Rs 1,691.50.
This marks the third consecutive increase in the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders. Last month, the price was raised by Rs 8.50, effective from August 1, 2024. However, the price of the 14 kg domestic gas cylinder remains unchanged.
Earlier in the year, on July 1, 2024, there was a decrease of Rs 69 in the cost of these commercial cylinders. The latest hike follows this reduction and reflects the fluctuating market conditions and operational costs faced by OMCs.
Despite these adjustments, domestic gas cylinder prices have not been affected, providing some relief to households. The ongoing revisions in commercial LPG prices underscore the need to align with global market trends and manage supply and demand effectively.
Businesses that depend on commercial LPG, such as restaurants and hotels, will need to adjust their budgets to accommodate the increased costs. The dynamic nature of fuel pricing in India requires stakeholders to stay informed and plan their expenses accordingly.
OMCs continue to monitor global oil prices and domestic demand closely, with future adjustments likely influenced by these factors and government policies. The latest increase highlights the importance of keeping up with fuel price trends for efficient financial planning.
