Noida: A disturbing case of child abuse has surfaced from a daycare centre in Noida’s Sector-142, where a 15-month-old girl was subjected to brutal assault by a female staff member. The shocking incident occurred on August 4 and came to light after CCTV footage exposed the cruelty.
Police arrested the accused woman soon after the parents lodged a complaint. The video revealed the nanny slapping the toddler several times, throwing her onto the floor repeatedly, and striking her with a plastic bat. In a chilling moment, she was also seen biting the child’s leg.
The parents said they realised something was wrong when the mother brought the child home and found her crying inconsolably. While changing her clothes, she noticed round red marks on both thighs. A medical examination confirmed these were human bite marks.
Suspecting abuse, the parents demanded access to the centre’s CCTV recordings. The footage confirmed their worst fears, showing sustained physical violence against the defenceless baby.
They further alleged that the daycare manager not only failed to stop the attack but also used abusive language and issued threats when confronted.
This incident has triggered widespread outrage and renewed concerns about safety protocols and supervision in childcare facilities. Authorities have booked the accused under appropriate legal provisions, and the investigation is ongoing.
