As soaring temperatures continue to grip Telangana, a resident of Kunavanipalle village in Ganneruvaram mandal of Karimnagar district has come up with an innovative solution to help local children stay cool during the summer holidays.
The villager transformed a tractor trolley parked outside his house into a temporary swimming pool, creating a refreshing space for children to enjoy amid the intense heat.
Simple idea brings big smiles
To create the pool, he lined the trolley with a large polythene sheet and filled it with water, turning the farm vehicle into an instant summer attraction for neighbourhood children.
The makeshift pool has quickly become a popular spot, allowing children to play and cool off without travelling long distances in search of recreational facilities.
Call for public swimming pools
Along with showcasing his creative solution, the resident appealed to authorities to establish at least one swimming pool in every mandal.
He said such facilities would provide children with safe recreational spaces during school vacations and reduce the need for families to travel to towns and cities for swimming facilities.
Heatwave conditions continue
The initiative comes at a time when several parts of Telangana are experiencing extremely high temperatures.
According to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society, Nalgonda recorded the state’s highest maximum temperature of 43.8 degrees Celsius recently.
In Hyderabad, the highest temperature was reported at 41.6 degrees Celsius in Maredpally.
As temperatures remain high across the region, the villager’s simple yet thoughtful initiative has drawn appreciation for bringing joy and relief to children during the peak summer season. #Karimnagar #SummerHeat #Innovation #Children #Telangana #newskarnataka
