A devastating road accident in Saudi Arabia has claimed the life of a young woman from Kerala. The mishap occurred on the Damam–Riyadh expressway near Huraira, located in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom.

The victim, identified as 18-year-old Farhana Sherin, tragically lost her life in the early hours of Tuesday. She was one of the twin daughters of Siddique Hasainar, a native of Kalliparambil in Thalikkulam, Thrissur district.

Siddique and his family were travelling back to Riyadh after a brief visit to Bahrain. They had reportedly gone there to complete procedures related to the renewal of their visiting visa. During the return journey, their vehicle met with a fatal accident that claimed Farhana’s life on the spot.

Siddique, his wife, and two other children sustained varying degrees of injuries in the crash. According to sources at the hospital, one of the family members is said to be in critical condition and remains under close medical supervision.

The incident has left the expatriate Malayali community in Saudi Arabia in shock and mourning. Well-wishers and fellow Keralites have come forward to offer support and assistance to the grieving family.

Meanwhile, back in Kerala, the news has cast a shadow of sorrow over their hometown of Thalikkulam, where relatives and friends await further updates.
