In a heartbreaking incident, Viren Jain, a class six student at a private school in Secunderabad, tragically lost his life after choking on puris during lunch break on Monday afternoon. The young boy had brought puris in his lunch box and, while eating three puris at once, choked, which led to a fatal struggle for breath.

According to Begumpet Inspector Ch Ramaiah, the boy was unable to breathe due to the choking incident. School staff noticed his distress and immediately rushed him to a local nursing home and later to a private hospital. Despite their efforts, the doctors at the hospital pronounced him dead on arrival.

The school management informed the boy’s father, Gowthan Jain, about the incident, stating that his son had been having lunch when the tragic event occurred. Viren’s body has been transferred to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem examination, and a case is being registered to investigate the cause of death.

This incident serves as a tragic reminder of the dangers associated with eating too quickly, especially when consuming multiple pieces of food at once. The community and authorities are deeply shaken by this loss, and further inquiries into the incident are underway.
