
Trichy airport bust: ₹11 lakh worth e-cigarettes seized from flyers

Customs officials at Trichy International Airport seized 1,100 e-cigarettes valued at approximately ₹11 lakh from three passengers on Saturday.
Acting on a tip-off, the officers intercepted the trio who had arrived on a flight from Kuala Lumpur. Upon checking their luggage, officials discovered multiple bundles of e-cigarettes concealed within.
The seized contraband has been confiscated, and a detailed probe is currently underway to uncover the source and intended distribution network.
