Rajkot: A massive fire that erupted at a gaming zone in Rajkot, Gujarat on Saturday evening has claimed twenty lives, said officials and rescue operation is currently underway.

Gujarat’s Chief Minister, Bhupendra Patel, swiftly directed officials to prioritize the immediate treatment of the injured. “Instructions have been issued to the Municipal Corporation and administration to promptly initiate rescue and relief efforts at the Rajkot gaming zone fire site. Immediate medical attention for the injured is of utmost importance,” said the CM.

Rajkot Police Commissioner Raju Bhargava provided updates on the ongoing rescue efforts, stating, “Rescue operations are underway, and the situation is now under control. Efforts are being made to recover as many bodies as possible. Presently, around twenty casualties have been reported, and they have been transferred to the hospital for further examination. Investigations into the incident will be conducted promptly.” Commissioner Bhargava also mentioned plans to register a case of negligence against Yuvraj Singh Solanki, the owner of the gaming zone.
