Kasargod: Two students were seriously injured in a road accident involving a scooter and a van near Bayaru, close to Uppala, on Tuesday morning.
Accident details
The mishap occurred around 7:45 a.m. near the Bayaru petrol bunk. According to police, the scooter carrying two students collided with a van, leaving both riders critically injured.
Victims identified
The injured have been identified as Muhammed Sadiq and Muhammed Moideen, residents of Kalayi in Paivalike. Both are students of a private school in Paivalike. They were rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru for advanced treatment.
Police investigation
The Manjeshwar police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
