The idol of Ram Lalla was placed in the “Garbha Griha” of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Thursday amid joyful chants of “Jai Shri Ram,” as part of the intricate preparations for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, which is scheduled for January 22.

Wednesday night’s special puja in the sanctum sanctorum served as an important prelude to the ceremony, which will see the idol brought inside with the aid of a crane.

The video shared by Sharad Sharma, media in-charge of Vishwa Hindu Parishad showed the joyous atmosphere at the temple.

The statue of Ram Lalla sculpted by Karnataka sculptor Arun Yogiraj has been selected for installation at Ram Temple.

“The Murti sculpted on Krishna Shila, by renowned sculptor Arun Yogiraj, has been selected as Shri Vigraha of Bhagwan Shri Ramlalla Sarkar,” Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra announced on X.

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra is the trust entrusted with the construction and management of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ram’s idol on January 22 at 12:30 PM at the magnificent Ayodhya temple. The ceremony is being planned with great detail.

Starting on Tuesday, the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony’s rituals will run for seven days. The Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has invited thousands of VIP guests to the ceremony.
