Lucknow: A pre-wedding celebration turned tragic when an individual pushed his son’s acquaintance off the terrace of a five-star hotel in Uttar Pradesh. The alarming incident occurred during the early hours of Sunday and was captured on the hotel’s CCTV system in Bareilly. In the footage, the victim is seen briefly interacting with the assailant before the altercation turns violent.
Reportedly, Sarthak Agrawal, described as a businessman in the healthcare sector, is currently hospitalized in critical condition after the fall. He had been attending a friend’s wedding at the hotel when a dispute arose with Ridim Arora, identified as one of his companions. This disagreement escalated into a physical altercation around 2 AM, prompting Ridim to summon his father, Sanjeev Arora, a textile businessman.
The CCTV footage depicts a heated exchange between the two groups before Sanjeev Arora intervenes. Just moments after Sarthak Agrawal is seen touching Sanjeev Arora’s feet as a gesture of respect, he is aggressively confronted, slapped, and ultimately pushed off the terrace. Following the incident, Sanjeev Arora proceeds to physically assault another individual.
Sanjay Agrawal, father of Sarthak Agrawal, expressed bewilderment, stating, “Neither my son nor I are familiar with these individuals.”
According to the First Information Report, the perpetrators were intoxicated and attacked the victim without any apparent provocation. Law enforcement has registered a case of assault causing grievous harm in response to the incident.
