Ayodhya (UP): On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Ayodhya Dham railway station during his visit to the temple town. The Prime Minister was welcomed at the airport by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel.
During his journey to the railway station, the Prime Minister held a roadshow, attracting thousands of enthusiastic onlookers who showered rose petals on the convoy. Devotional songs dedicated to Lord Ram echoed through the streets, accompanied by dance performances by school children.
At the railway station, Prime Minister Modi flagged off six trains, including two Amrit Bharat trains and six Vande Bharat trains. Subsequently, he is set to inaugurate the newly-built airport and lay the foundation stones for various development projects in Uttar Pradesh.
The holy city of Ayodhya has been adorned with flowers, murals, and thematic ornamental columns, complemented by robust security measures. Prominent locations feature huge posters of the Prime Minister, while cut-outs of Lord Ram adorn the redeveloped railway station.
This visit by the Prime Minister precedes the ‘pran pratishtha’ or consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir scheduled for January 22, adding significance to the occasion.
