Tucked away in the Eastern Ghats, Vanjangi in Andhra Pradesh offers a serene and picturesque escape. Known for its breathtaking views and peaceful atmosphere, this small hill station is rapidly becoming a favorite among nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers.

The best time to experience the magical sunset in Vanjangi is during the winter months, particularly from December to January. As the sun rises between 5 and 6 am, the sight is nothing short of surreal, with clouds slowly unveiling the first rays of sunlight. The winter temperatures drop to a refreshing 15 degrees Celsius, making it the perfect weather to enjoy the outdoor beauty of this hidden gem.

Vanjangi’s charm was relatively unknown until just a few years ago when trekkers and nature lovers began sharing their experiences on social media. This newfound attention is slowly bringing the destination into the spotlight. Despite the growing popularity, Vanjangi retains its untouched allure, making it a peaceful retreat for those seeking an off-the-beaten-path experience.

In a move to make the hill station more accessible, the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) has announced plans to construct a blacktop road from Vanjangi village to the viewpoint. The existing road, riddled with potholes, has made travel challenging, but the new Rs 2.5 crore project aims to improve the journey and enhance safety. The ITDA also plans to install railings at the viewpoint to further ensure the safety and comfort of visitors.
