New Delhi: International shooter Vartika Singh has made a request to Home Minister Amit Shah to allow her to hang the four convicts in Nirbhaya rape case.
In a letter, written in blood to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Singh said that if she hangs the convicts, it will send a strong message throughout the country that women can also conduct execution.
The four convicts in the Nirbhaya rape case are currently lodged in the Tihar Jail and facing a death sentence for the brutal December 16, 2012 gangrape.
“I want the women actors, MPs to support me. I hope this will bring a change in society,” the letter read.
There were reports making rounds that the hanging may be delayed as Tihar jail does not have a full-time hangman. Now it is believed that the hangman for the Nirbhaya case convicts will come from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh.
The hangman will be sent from a Meerut jail to Tihar Jail. Uttar Pradesh presently has two hangmen and if reports are to be believed Meerut jail hangman Pawan Kumar will be sent to Tihar for the execution, reports Indiatoday.
